Going to the cottage this weekend! :) :)

A group of us are going to the Baldwins Resort this weekend. Friday till Monday, we’ll be entertaining ourselves with Line dancing and ballroom dancing (if the floor is large enough) every night. It is located in Windermere Ontario about 2 ½ hours drive from our house. Have a look at www.baldwins-resort.com if you are curious. G and I are planning to get the group together to do Tai Chi in the morning, a couple will be teaching Line dancing at night. My friends have been doing this for many years but G and I just joined the group about three years ago. We go to different resort every year and if the place is good, we'll revisit the same resort the year after then we move onto a different resort. It is really fun and also gets G away from working around the house. My baby (cin) was suppose to come with us but she is too busy at work and couldn’t able to get away. excited =)

My New Bridge

The new bridge has been installed yesterday. It has stainless steel solar moon lights on both sides of the railings. It is a little wider than the old one stained with wood colour. I hope it will not be as slipper as the one before when it is wet. G will keep an eye on that issue. It seems like the water lilies are doing well with the strong currents after all. I took pictures of step by step re-construction of the pond. G bought a floating heater for the fish in the winter. Mission competed!

My NEW 1992 Aerostar Wagon

We are giving our 1992 Aerostar Wagon a face lift. We have it since new and are in perfect condition in exception of some body rust underneath the doors. The interior is very clear and the condition of the car seats, fabric is like new. We took out the middle seating and stored it in the basement from day one. The back bench (seat) is hardly use. G decided to keep the van for good so we are giving it a face lift this week. He gets a good discount from work for parts and labour. So why not? I love driving the van in the Spring, Summer and Fall. I like the idea of sitting high up so I can avoid traffic dam and be able to splash cars behind me when it rains. I’ll have my NEW car in two weeks. J

unforgettable experience

The extreme weather conditions yesterday with high, unpredictable winds, driving rains, hailing and lightning on my way home from work was quite scary. I saw tree branches flying across the sky and on the ground. Couple times my car stopped right underneath the electrical wires waiting for the car in front of me to go. It was just like watching a typhoon happening right in front of my eyes. I saw people put on their four way flasher. I am glad I wasn't driving the Van, it would be more terrified. I could hear the hails hitting the car so loud, water level was high that it felt like I was driving through the creek. The temperature instantly dropped from 32 to 24. Once I got home, I checked if everything outside the backyard were in place. My planters by the front door were at the neighbour's yard and that was it.
